- No experience necessary.

- Regardless of your occupation or abilities there is a job for everyone.

- Only required to participate in 20 % of all Fire Company activities

- Free unlimited training.

- Most all members over the age of 30 wish they joined sooner.

- You have nothing to lose other than a few hours a month.

- Most volunteer firefighters were reluctant to ask about being a volunteer.

- We are in need of members who work night shift!

As with many towns in New Jersey, fire, rescue and emergency medical services are primarily provided by highly professional and sincerely dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may be your neighbors, people you pass in the street or people you stand next to in line at the grocery store -- people who are dedicated to helping their neighbors in the time of need.

As you can imagine, having volunteers respond to the many emergency calls every year provides a tremendous savings of tax dollars as opposed to having 24 hour coverage by paid personnel. Unfortunately, many towns in New Jersey are suffering from a lack of volunteers. In our case, there is no exception. The Blenheim Fire Company is in need of volunteers.

Being a volunteer firefighter can be a very rewarding experience. It offers you the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment and a chance to experience the camaraderie involved with a community organization. We will provide all of your training as well as everything else that you will need as a member. A college education is included in the package!
